HOW WE GOT THE LOOK
This listing had such an interesting history. The living room was actually the original structure, which was unable to be fully updated according to city codes. While it had some modern features such as freshly painted white walls, some elements were far from the modern aesthetic of the rest of the home, which had been added on in a massive remodel over the years. Our challenge with the space was making sure it felt cohesive with the ultra modern take on the rest of the staging.
HOW WE GOT THE LOOK
This third floor bonus space was so architecturally beautiful with its unique angles and high ceilings, but it made for a tricky staging project in terms of creating a space that was cohesive for buyers while still showing the overall function of the space. We knew we wanted a funky, cool, elevated feeling, so we brought in some fun elements such as these edgy accent chairs and the green leather sofa.
HOW WE GOT THE LOOK
To be totally honest, this basement was a bit of an intimidating space for us at first. When we saw the video provided by our client, we knew it was quite large, and when we walked the property during the consultation, it was even bigger in person than we had imagined. Believe it or not, the space you see above is actually just one zone of the full living space in the lower level. We knew we needed some large items to make sure to match the scaled of the room and avoid everything feeling small in comparison.
Paint + Flooring Updates Before You Sell
Making updates to your home before selling, such as new paint and flooring, can significantly improve its appeal to potential buyers and potentially increase its resale value. A consistent aesthetic throughout the home really makes a big impact by creating a cohesive, move-in-ready feel. We put some thoughts together on trends we’re seeing this year as well as some specific color recommendations. We can’t recommend these updates enough! The combination of fresh paint, flooring and staging truly makes a huge impact and creates that must-have, emotional connection for potential buyers.
Labrot House Project
It’s a rare treat for us to get to work on homes that really feel like they have a soul…like they have a story to tell. And it’s even a rarer treat to stage a Historical Landmark! We recently debuted our work on the Labrot house and are so excited to share how this beauty came together to land on the market in Boulder, Colorado.

Does home staging actually work?
We get this question a lot. We’ll say it once…we’ll say it again…the proof is in the numbers.
You may wonder whether staging is right for your property. While we can try to explain the importance of the ‘emotional connection’ it can create for buyers as they browse through photos online or how the ‘flow’ of the house is crucial during a showing — these are elements that can be hard to define.
Top 5 Faux Plants For Staging
Down to the core, home staging is truly all about psychology. Sure it’s partially about pretty pillows and great sofas, but it’s more than that. One of the things we do in 100% of our jobs — yes every single home we style — is include some sort of greenery. Plants help to bring life into a space and make it feel fresh and this can really have an effect on how you feel.
